Imagine the bucolic scene, standing on a country lane just after a rain shower and smelling the intoxicating perfume of a sagging Hawthorn. Our Snowdonia Spring Wildflower Welsh Honey captures that experience!

Once every few years, good weather conditions and abundant forage collide in Snowdonia to produce our limited-run Welsh Spring Honey, a gorgeous melee of early Snowdonia flora of Horse Chestnut and Hawthorn. Sourced by our sustainably managed bees who forage on the trees and flowers native to the hills and valleys of Snowdonia, this pure and natural Welsh honey offers you a taste of Welsh Spring in a jar. It is only produced in small batches so that quality and consistency are guaranteed and is a personal favourite of this Beekeeper!

Which season of honey is best? Plus

Many beekeepers find that the best months to harvest honey is anywhere from July to mid-September. If you are wanting to maximise the honey you are collecting, be patient until the last honey flow which typically occurs in September.

Is runny honey real honey? Plus

Real honey actually isn't as runny as people think! As mentioned in our blog on crystallisation in honey (a natural process within honey), our honey sometimes crystallises, and to return this to its regular 'spreadable' consistency it needs to be warmed gently. The instructions are on the side of your jar should you need them.

How do you know if honey is good? Plus

Honey purity tests at home are easy to carry out. In this test, the honey is made to dissolve in a glass of water slowly. If your honey reaches the bottom of the glass without dissolving in the water then it is said that the honey is pure.

Can I drink water after eating honey? Plus

Yes, you can drink water after eating honey immediately. There is no harm in doing so.

Can you put honey in hot milk? Plus

Warm milk with honey is often consumed as a bedtime drink and is thought to have soothing and calming properties, which can be helpful for relaxation. In various cultures, milk, honey and spices are combined together and used to heal pain and other ailments like sore throats, coughs, and colds.
